MES Summer School and 5th Grade Summer Band Information

Enrollment
for MES Summer School is due by Friday, June 5th. Forms can
be dropped off at the MES/MJH office during regular school hours.
Students may only attend the extended learning sections by teacher
recommendations. Extended learning sessions include: Reading,
Math, Kindergarten, Jumpstart to Kindergarten, and Band. A
snack break and recess will be available for students enrolled in
two sessions. Band will be offered only to incoming 5th grade
students.

Summer Band for incoming 5th grade students will begin at 8:00am on Monday, June 8th in the junior high band room. Summer band is not mandatory, but will greatly enhance your student's success and enjoyment in band. The purpose is to give incoming 5th grade students a jump start on performance and teach them about their instruments. The lesson schedule will be as follows:
Flutes:
8:00-8:30am
Clarinets:
8:45-9:15am
Saxophones:
9:30-10:00am
Trumpets:
10:15 - 10:45am
Trombones
& Baritones: 11:00 - 11:30am
The last
day for summer band classes will be Friday, July
3rd.
