FIRST QUARTER READING OBJECTIVES

 Designate uppercase letters

 

 Write uppercase and lowercase letters

 

 Identify number of phonemes(sounds)within a given word

 

Write initial (beginning) sounds of given pictures

 

Group words with same ending sounds

 

  Write letter that represents initial sound in a picture

 

 Identify beginning blends

Identify unknown words and meanings using reading strategies

 

Correctly identify sight words

 

Correctly identify sight words that match

 

 Identify words from clues within sentences
