Pizza Hut's Students of the Month for December
We at Meade Elementary/Junior High are proud to announce the winners of our student of the month program. For the 2011-2012 school year, the faculty and staff have created a new system in which students are nominated each month based on the character trait that we are focusing on. The month of December was “Persistence” which means to continue steadfastly or firmly in a purpose. We had many nominations and on Friday, January 6th, 2012 during the Morning Meeting two names from each grade level grouping (K-3, 4-6, 7-8) were drawn out at random and will enjoy a lunch with the Principal at Pizza Hut.
The winners were:
K-3rd Grade: Megan Reimer and Kiana Unruh (2nd Grade)
4th-6th Grade: Charles Welker and Aidan Powers (6th Grade)
Junior High: Abie Howard (7th Grade), Marina Reimer (8th Grade)
Bob’s Drive In Reading Stars of the Month
Meade Elementary/Junior High is proud to announce the December Reading Stars of the Month. Students who read and test on any book in their reading level is entered into a monthly drawing for a prize pack. This month, Bob’s Drive-In located in Meade, KS sponsored our students with a gift bag. They were presented their prizes during the morning meeting on Friday, January 6th, 2012. All non-winning books read for the month are entered into our semester prize which was drawn also that day.
