Meade PTO Reading Stars of the Month
Meade Elementary/Junior High is proud to announce the January Reading Stars of the Month. Students who read and test on any book in their reading level is entered into a monthly drawing for a prize pack. This month, Meade PTO sponsored our students with a gift card. They were presented their prizes during the morning meeting on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. All non-winning books read for the month are entered into our semester prize which was drawn also that day.

“AJ Electric Student’s of the Month Award Winners--January”
We at Meade Elementary/Junior High are proud to announce the winners of our student of the month program. For the 2011-2012 school year, the faculty and staff have created a new system in which students are nominated each month based on the character trait that we are focusing on. The month of January was “Curiosity” which means the desire to know more about the world and things in it. We had many nominations and on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 during the Morning Meeting two names from each grade level grouping (K-3, 4-6, 7-8) were drawn out at random. The students will enjoy a lunch with the Principal at Pizza Hut.

K-3rd Grade: Allie Miller (2nd Grade), Derrick Gipson (3rd Grade)
4th-6th Grade: Calvin Ketron and Blaise Saucedo (6th Grade)
Junior High: Kalesha Mendenhall and Riley Hanks (7th Grade)
