MHS Golf News:  On Thursday, April 12 the Meade High School varsity golf team traveled to Coldwater to compete against area schools in weather conditions that were brutal.  The temperature that day got into the mid 90s and the wind got into the mid 50s.  The tournament was unique in the fact that the course had 10 holes, so the teams played 20 holes instead of the traditional 18.  The the team ended the tournament placing 2nd with a score of 419, which was a distance from first place, Hodgeman County.  Individually, Garrett Gillum took 3rd place with a score of 91. Blaise Saucedo took 7th place overall with a score of 97.  Cade Carr, Charles Welker, Treven Hegwood and Mason Brenner also competed for the Buffaloes.  In JV golf news, The MHS JV Golf Team completed in a 9 hole JV tournament in Protection on Friday, April 13th.  It was another windy day, but the temperatures were cooler than the day before. The the team ended the tournament placing 2nd with a score of 234.  Individually, Tanner Mass placed 3rd, Jacob McAtee placed 8th and Dawson Bennett took 16th. Marco Ornelas and Tom Tien Lo also competed for the Buffaloes. ~ Coach Saucedo  GOOD WORK, MHS Golf!

MHS Tennis News: CONGRATULATIONS to our MHS Tennis team!  Our varsity guys have enjoyed a great season so far. They captured first place in Liberal, Cimarron, and Chaparral. In Chaparral our team went 10-1 in competition. Nolan (1S), Walker and Gatlin (2D), and Javi (2S) were all undefeated. Jonathan and Kamrin took second, losing only one match.  Our JV boys traveled to Dodge City for their first competition of the season.  There were 6 teams total, Dodge City (3 teams), Liberal, and Garden City.  Kendal (1S) did a great job, but was not able to break serve.  Kamrin and Aidan (1D) ended in 5th, defeating Liberal.  James and Lander ended pool play 2-0.  Unfortunately they couldn't get the win over Garden City. They finished in 2nd place.  Nathaniel Reimer (2S) also went 2-0 in pool play.  He won a tough battle in the championship match to bring home the 1st place medal.   In the fourth meet of the season, a home meet, our varsity boys earned their fourth 1st place finish.  The meet was a five team round robin tournament.  Nolan (1S) and Javi (2S) both went undefeated, earning the first place medal.  Walker and Gatlin finished 3-1 for the 2nd place medal.  Jonathan (2S) played for Meade White. He earned the 3rd place medal.  Kamrin and Nathaniel (1D) also played for Meade White and took home the 3rd place medals.  Way to work, Buffaloes!
