Head Wrestling Coach

Biographical Information

I have been teaching for thirteen years and coaching for fifteen years.  I have been happily married for sixteen years to a wonderful woman, Tammy. We have two beautiful children, Kelli is twelve and Tate is ten.  We enjoy going to sporting events, traveling to visit family and friends, and just hanging out with each other.  We have two American Eskimo dogs, Roxy and Kipper, and one every large cat that is bigger than both the dogs named Kit-Kat.  In my thirteen years as an educator I have taught Physical Education, Health, Science, and Social Studies.  I have coached football (15yrs), track (10yrs), JH basketball (4yrs), wrestling (3yrs) and baseball (2yr).  I have also served as an Athletic Director for three years.  In my coaching career, we have been a part of taking teams to the state football play-offs seven times, three of which were deep into the rounds; state wrestling tournaments and state track meets where athletes have placed at both.  We have also had the opportunity to help take a team to the state baseball tournament. As an Athletic Director, the school district hosted regional and sub-state tournaments where I directed all aspects of the activities and involvements.  In 2006, I was honored by being named as an assistant football coach in the Shrine Bowl of Kansas. I have also worked many football camps in the state of Kansas and other states.  I think the biggest thrill I get as an educator is when a former student comes back and thanks me for what I have done to help them become successful in their lives.  I have several former students that have become teachers and coaches themselves; this makes me proud to have hopefully been a positive role model in their career paths.   My future goals are to further my education and earn a master’s degree in Sports Administration.  And yes I am a huge Denver Broncos Fan!
