Age is…wisdom, if one has lived one's life properly. -- Miriam Makeba With gratefulness our 8th grade class gained not only wisdom, but meaningful relationships from residents at the Lone Tree Retirement Center. On three different occasions the 8th graders spent time interviewing and getting to know some residents. They not only learned about their history, but also spent time just enjoying one another's company. After the interviews were complete the 8th grade students . . .
Five Meade Elementary students were chosen for the Kansas All-State Elementary Choir; another Meade student was selected as an alternate. These students auditioned and were selected from almost 800 auditions submitted from around the state. The 160-member All-State Elementary Choir will perform in Wichita on Thursday, February 23, at 5:45 p.m. in the Century ll Concert Hall at the Kansas Music Educators Association’s annual convention.
