GOOD LUCK to our MHS Forensics team as they compete in State Saturday.  MHS will take five students to the State Champs and three to the State Festival. Riley Saucedo and Breanna Ross will compete in Extemporaneous Speaking.  J.C. Deason, Brittney Kessel and Miguel Rogers will each compete in Original Oration.  Brittany Kessel will also compete with her Serious Solo piece.  Zoey Lumry, Jose' Loewen, and Dawson Bennett will each take their poetry pieces to State Festival.  Both State . . .

MHS Music Has a Terrific Contest Season!

It's been a busy season for MHS Band and Choirs this year.  The students started right in on their contest/festival material right after Christmas break and have been working very hard on their full choir and band pieces as well as students taking individual solos and ensembles.  The students started off with League Music Festival in Sublette, moving forward to Regional Solo and Small Ensembles in Dodge City, Large Groups in Dodge City and those qualifying with I ratings moved on to State Solo and Ensembles in Salina . . .

MHS Skills USA goes to State

Our MHS Skills USA students traveled to Hutchinson to participate in the State Skills USA competition.  As usual, our students performed in top-notch fashion.  To add icing to the cake,  Mike Koehn, Skills USA sponsor, was named Adviser of the Year. Seven of our earned gold medals for their presentations and projects.  A gold medal award advances the students to the National Leadership and Skills Conference where they will compete against students from all fifty states and the five . . .
