A BIG BUFFALO THANK YOU to our MHS Booster Club for hosting another GREAT Buffalo Bonanza!  It was a great evening to recognize our Buffalo athletes.  Remember, it is never too late to become a Booster Club member.  Please contact Casie McAtee for more information.

We hope everyone enjoyed a fun three-day weekend.  We have a full slate of sports activities this week.

All 5th grade students and anyone in need of a band instrument are invited to attend the Senseney Band Display Tuesday evening.  A Senseney representative will be on hand with a variety of instruments to view and demo.  The display will take place in the MES/MJH Band room beginning at 6:30pm.

This week our varsity tennis team plays in Cimarron and Kiowa on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.  Our volleyball team will travel to Lakin Tuesday.  We will host Cross Country Thursday at 4:00pm at the Meade Country Club. Participating teams include: Meade, Ashland, Dighton, Fowler, Hodgeman, Hugoton, Kiowa Co., Liberal, Minneola, Pratt-Skyline, Santana, SWH, Stanton Co., Sublette, South Central.  This would be a great time to watch our team and cheer them to a fast finish.  Our MJH and MHS runners will compete in the races. As soon as the runners finish you can race to the high school to cheer our MJH volleyball and football teams to victory.  Volleyball begins at 4:30pm and football begins at 6:00pm.  Friday our MHS football team will compete in Lakin.  Kick-off is set for 7:00pm.

Tennis News:  Our JV team participated in their first meet of the season last week.  Our girls showed a lot of grit during the all-day meet.  Every player participated in 5 matches throughout the day.  The temperature was nearly 100°F, yet our Lady Buffaloes continued to play every point to win.  Karsen Jones played in the 1S position.  She captured some great wins.  Emily Flowers enjoyed her day playing in the 2S spot, earning some nice wins as well.  Playing at 1D was Hailey Ellis and Sigrid Heringstad.  Together they improved and won some matches.  Kate Orr and Ellen Krueger teamed up for our 2D team.  Throughout the day they saw great success and improvements in their game.  Lisa Garber also attended the meet but was unable to finish due to injury.
