SENIOR NEWS: It is already time for our seniors and their parents to begin thinking about graduation.  There will be a meeting for our seniors Monday at 12:30pm.  They will discuss purchasing their caps and gowns and ordering announcements.  Later that evening MHS will host a Senior Parent Meeting at 7:00pm in the MHS Commons.  Please contact Mr. Haynes, MHS Principal, at 620.873.2981 for more information.

It is Homecoming week at MHS. Our StuCo and Cheerleaders have fun activities and daily themes planned for the week.  This year’s homecoming theme is Mardi Gras.  Our 2019 homecoming queen and king candidates are Corbyn Carr & Grant Gillum, Monica Gleason & Jonathan Unruh, Taran Porter & Caden Martin, Sadie Saucedo & Preston Woodruff, and Ali Unruh & Greyson Haynes.  EVERYONE is invited to attend the Homecoming Bonfire & Pep Rally Thursday evening at dusk.  This will take place in the empty lot north of the high school.  Friday our MHS students will “parade” their homecoming floats to the City Park where our Cheerleaders will lead us in an entertaining Pep Rally.  The parade will begin at the high school at 2:20pm. The public is invited to attend the fun and show their support for our MHS students. The King and Queen coronation will take place at 6:45pm, just prior to the MHS vs. Stanton County football game.

TENNIS NEWS:  Our varsity team will host their only home meet of the season Tuesday beginning at 3:00pm.  Make plans to attend and support our Lady Buffaloes.  We have other BIG tennis news! Meade will host the 2019 Girls’ Regional Tennis tournament Friday October 11th and Saturday, October 12th.  It will be a great two days of tennis! Be on the look-out for more information.
