6th Grade Girls

Yikes! March is going to fly by. Spring Break begins Friday, March 8th. We come back on Monday, March 18th. Daylight Savings Time begins on Sunday, March 10th. Then, we have our Easter Holiday break on Friday, March 29th through Monday, April 1st. This month we get to enjoy junior high Quiz Bowl and track. High school events and activities include tennis, track, Forensics, and Prom.

CONGRATULATIONS to our MHS Basketball teams on a FANTASTIC season! Both teams competed in the sub-state championship game. Unfortunately, neither of our teams won, but they both played a great game. Our girls ended their season with a 15-9 record, and our boys finished at 19-4. Thanks for another great season, MHS Basketball!

USD 226 will host Conferences on Monday, March 4th and Tuesday, March 5th. Conferences will run from 4:00-8:00pm both evenings. These conferences are "by appointment." Notes with conference times have been sent home. If you have any questions regarding conferences, please contact your child's teacher.

MJH individual and team track pictures are scheduled for Monday, March 4th. Order forms will be sent home. Please return them with your preferred picture package and payment. Keeping with MJH Track news, the parent meeting will take place that evening at 7:00pm in the MES/MJH cafeteria. Their first meet is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26th at SWHJH.

USD 226 will host their March board meeting on Monday, March 18th at 6:00pm in the District Office. Please remember the unofficial minutes are posted on our website. Strawbridge Studios, Inc. will be at MES/MJH on Tuesday, March 19th to take class and spring portraits. Order forms have been sent home with students. Welcome, Spring! Tuesday, March 19th is the first day of Spring. According the almanac.com the Spring Equinox in the United States will be at 10:06pm CST.

MHS will host a spring sports parent/guardian meeting on Tuesday, March 19th beginning at 6:30pm in the MHS Commons. The meeting is for parents and guardians of students participating in track, tennis, and golf.

It is already time for our Junior/Senior Prom. The doors will be open for public viewing at 5:30pm on Saturday, March 23rd. The Promenade will begin at 6:30pm. Prom will follow.

*Calendar Update: Regional Forensics is NOT scheduled for Wednesday, March 20th. The correct date is Saturday, April 20th. The meet will take place in Holcomb. We apologize for the error.
