Please remember USD 226 will have a 10:15am late start on Wednesday, April 24th. The administration will be leading teacher in-service meetings in the morning.

It is time for our Kindergarten - 3rd Grade Spring Program. Please join us Tuesday, April 23, at 7:00 pm in the Elementary School Auditorium for the musical play "Bugz." There's going to be a picnic and every bug is excited to go, but wait... the stink bug wants to come too. Come and see what happens!

Wednesday afternoon our MHS students will participate in their annual Service Day. They will begin with a team-building activity. Afterwards students in our service organizations will give the fairgrounds an overhaul by cleaning and painting. They will also spruce up the planters on Main Street, help at the firehouse, and paint at the sheriff's department. Other students will paint the field goals and work on several projects around the school. We appreciate that our students are giving back to our community by sharing their time and talents.

Our district would fall apart without our Administrative professionals! Wednesday is Administrative Professionals Day. Ms. Brenda is in our District Office. She takes care of ALL the big stuff. Miss Debbie keeps MES/MJH rolling without missing a beat. Mrs. Rempel is her assistant. At MHS you find Miss Katie keeping everyone in line and on time. Miss June is her assistant. We are grateful for the women who keep our district running smoothly. They do it all for everyone!

Good luck to our MJH Choir as they perform at the SPIAA Vocal Contest this week. Mr. Rempel has been busy preparing our full choir, men's ensemble, and mixed ensemble. We also have two soloists, Kellie Miller and Avery Bussen, performing. The fun begins for MJH at 1:40pm at Hodgeman County Junior High.

Good luck to our MHS State Music solo and small ensemble participants! MHS is taking nine entries this year. Holly Reimer has a flute solo and is our only instrumentalist. Vocal soloists include Alek Holguin, Alex Zortman, Bethany Reimer, Holly Reimer, and Orvin Dyck. In addition our Chamber Singers, women's ensembles, and men's ensemble will also perform. They will travel to Tabor College in Hillsboro Saturday to showcase their talents at the State festival.

Make plans to watch our MHS JV tennis team this week. They will host a home meet on Monday. This year we have eleven athletes playing tennis. They are Vincent Lynn, Orvin Dyck, KJ Leterle, Chandler Hanks, Andres Sanchez, Isaac Bowen, Logan Sutterfield, James Neely, Samuel Lynn, Elias Strickland, and Camdyn Flavin. Our team is coached by Mrs. Lynn and Mrs. Lumry.

Our MHS golfers will stay busy this week. They have a tournament on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday this week. Our team is enjoying a great season! We have quite a large team with several new faces this year. Ryan Urquidez and Orvin Dyck are our seniors. Juniors include Ethan Friesen, Johnny McAtee, Amelie Scheller, Deacon Green, and Samadhee Wickramaarachchige. Our sophomores are Kate Parker, Yanni Guillen, Mason Olmstead, Draylan Dawson, Sheldon Venable, and Ashton Harjo. Colt Dizmang and Tyson Knott are our freshmen golfers. They are coached by Mr. Kinnamon and Mr. Powell.
