It is a BIG week for USD 226! We have an early dismissal on Wednesday, allowing our teachers to meet for an in-service. Junior high quiz bowl will come to an end. Spring sports begin. We will celebrate our winter sports student-athletes and the week ends with Prom!
Hosting events like a track meet is always fun for our fans. However, hosting requires a lot of volunteers to offer their time and talents. With two track meets this week, we are relying on a lot of people to make it happen. A BIG BUFFALO THANK YOU to the volunteers that are willing to make hosting these two track meets possible. We appreciate YOU!
Tuesday, voters will have the opportunity to vote to replace the current bond with a new one. The current bond will expire this year. Thankfully, this will allow our district to make much need improvements and upgrades WITHOUT increasing our property taxes. Improvements and upgrades include a new roof for MES/MJH, a safe and handicapped-accessible playground surface for our students, an intruder alert system for both buildings, a new track with with scheduled lighting for public use, and remodeling projects at MHS. Please contract Mr. Bruce, USD 226 Superintendent, if you have any questions about the bond and/or the improvements and upgrades. We appreciate your support!
