CONGRATULATIONS to our Class of 2025! Wednesday is the LAST day of school for our senior group. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. We have loved watching you grow, laugh, strive through your highs and lows, and succeed at being YOU! We wish each of you the best of life's blessings as you continue your journey. May all your days be filled with goodness. Our seniors will take their "Senior Walk" with our Kindergartners at MES at 8:00am Wednesday morning. MHS will host their Academic Awards Assembly that day at 10:30am. Their graduation ceremony will take place in the MHS gym on Sunday, May 11th, at 3:00pm. The public is invited to attend and celebrate our seniors!
Our 1st through 6th grade students will complete the Mile Run at the high school track Monday morning. They will begin around 8:15am with new races beginning about every 30 minutes. The race order will be: 6th grade, 5th grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 1st grade, and 4th grade. Family and friends are invited to come out to the track to cheer for their runners.
CONGRATULATIONS to the newest members of the MHS National Honor Society. Our inductees will be welcomed to NHS Monday, May 5th. The 2025-26 officers will be installed following the induction. The ceremony will begin at 6:00pm at MHS.
Meade High School would like to invite you to "NIGHT of the ARTS” on Monday, May 5th. Our Visual ART department, under the tutelage of Ms. Krista Walker, will have student projects on display in the commons. Our Industrial ARTS department, under the guidance of Mr. Clint Kuhns, will have student shop projects on display in the commons. The Performing ARTS (Band and Choir), under the Direction of Mr. Brandon Haynes, will present a concert in the high school auditorium to begin at 7:00PM. Our band, choir, Madrigals, girls ensemble, boys ensemble, boys quartet, girls trio, vocal soloists, and a state piano solo are all on tap for the evening. This is a free event, open to the public. Please join us for a fun and entertaining night!
MHS and MES/MJH activities physicals will take place Monday at MHS and Tuesday at MES/MJH. Students participating in school athletics, including cheer, and rec football during the 2025-26 school year will need a recent physical on file at the school before they will be allowed to practice or participate. The Meade Rural Health Clinic will be at the high school on Monday, May 5th and MES/MJH Tuesday, May 6th. The cost of a physical is $25, due at the time of the physical. GOOD LUCK to our MHS Regional Tennis team! Meade will host the Regional meet at Dodge City. Introductions will begin at 10:30am. Play will begin immediately following the introductions. This year's regional team is Samuel Lynn and Isaac Bowen will compete in singles. Our doubles teams are Chandler Hanks & KJ Leterle and Circeen Conley & Tate Jones.
