Our students were dismissed Friday, December 19th, and will not return to classes until Tuesday, January 6th.
We are going to hit the ground running in 2026. Our high school will be hosting Spearville on Tuesday and traveling to Ashland on Friday. Then, to end the week they will host Syracuse Saturday afternoon. Our junior high teams will host Satanta in the Fowler Dome on Thursday, January 8th. The MHS Booster Club will host their annual Booster Club Recognition Night on Tuesday. We sure appreciate the support we get from all our Boosters. As a thank you, all Booster Club members will be admitted into the game FREE of charge! If you haven't joined there is still time to join. Remember our Booster Club supports all our high school activities - our fine arts, athletics, school organizations, After Prom, and more.
Mrs. McDowell will host a MES/MJH Site Council Meeting on Thursday, January 8th. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00am in the north conference room.
Roofing repairs are schedule to begin at MES/MJH beginning in January. The company will have heavy machinery and materials placed around the building and in the back parking lot throughout the process. Please be mindful of all the extra "stuff" around the building. We hope to help make the repair process go as smoothly as possible and for it to cause the least amount of disruption.
Our district is currently accepting applications for special education paras, a regular education para/floating substitute for MES/MJH, and a part-time evening custodian. Please contact the District Office if you are interested in becoming part of our USD 226 family.
Our Superintendent and District Clerk will be relocating soon. The new District Office will be located at 147 South Fowler Street. This is the same building that housed our learning center. Our Board of Education meetings will take place there once they are moved in and settled.
