Our junior high basketball season has come to an end. Our boys finished their season undefeated and earned 1st place in the tournament! Way to work, Buffaloes! Our girls ended their season with a 4th place finish at the tournament. Nice work, Lady Buffs! Next up, TRACK! Track practice will begin Monday, March 2nd. The first junior high meet will Tuesday, March 31st at Meade.
It is homecoming week at MHS. Our students will be celebrating with Spirit Week activities. Our winter homecoming queen candidates are Taylor Stapleton, Aby Dyck, Abbie Gipson, Kate Cunningham, and Julie Cottrell. Our king candidates are Mason Olmstead, Samuel Lynn, Yanni Gullien, German Garcia, and Eddy Mendoza. The homecoming coronation will take place during haltfime of the varsity boys' game. Good luck to our MHS Vocal students. They will participate in the SPIAA Vocal Contest on Wednesday in Bucklin. This is a great day for our talented singers to showcase their skills. Click HERE for the schedule.
MJH will host a round robin Quiz Bowl on Thursday afternoon beginning at 4:00pm. These are great events that allow our students to showcase their knowledge in several areas including their core subjects of Math, Social Studies, Science, English Language Arts, along with Current Events and Fine Arts. If you haven't been to a meet you should join the audience to watch our teams in action. You will be impressed with the knowledge junior high students possess, and you may learn a few things yourself.
