It will be a short, but busy week for our MJH and MHS students. Please remember we will not have school on Friday, April 3rd and Monday, April 6th. Enjoy a fun and relaxing Easter holiday.
Most of our spring student-athletes will begin competing this week. Our MJH Quiz Bowl team will wrap up their season as well. Tuesday our junior high will host the 54 Relays, their first track meet of the season. Field events begin at 4:00pm with the 3200M at 5:30pm and the remainder of the running events beginning at approximately 6:15pm. Thursday our MJH Quiz Bowl team will travel to Protection/South Central for the SPIAA Quiz Bowl Tournament. This will be their last meet of the season.
Thursday our MHS Tennis team will compete in Pratt for their first meet of the season. Play begins at 3:00pm. Also happening on Thursday, our MHS Track team will host their first meet of the season. Throwing events begin at 3:00pm and running events will begin at approximately 5:30pm. The 4x800M is scheduled to start at 4:30pm. Mrs. Bigler will take her seniors to Ellinwood as an extension activity for their study of The Great Gatsby. They will visit The Ellinwood Emporium and Underground Tunnel. This trip is always entertaining and a great learning experience for our students. It is fun to discover the hidden treasures of Kansas.
Reminder: Our PK-8th grade students will NOT have school on Wednesday, April 8th. MES/MJH will be hosting the SPIAA League Math Contest.
