Remember, school will not be in session on Monday, April 6th. Our PK-8th Grade students will not have school Wednesday, April 8th.
Our MES students will celebrate Dr. Seuss Day on Tuesday. This year's theme is Western Stories and Tall Tales. Students are encouraged to wear wester- wear to school. Our K-6 students will tour the Dalton Gang Hideout and the Meade County Historical Museum. The day will be filled with fun games, creative crafts, an entertaining movie, and a delicious snack. A BIG BUFFALO THANK YOU to our local MTA for covering the cost of touring the museums.
MES/MJH will host the SPIAA 5th-8th Grade Math Contest Wednesday. Each student will participate in three different categories: Mental Math, Problem Solving, and Geometry. Competing for our 5th grade is Bradely Miller, Oliver Cannady, and Madaline Schmidt. Our sixth grade team consists of Adelle Dyck, Audrey Price, and Bronson Sill. Our junior high team includes 7th graders Kaycee Busbee, Ryle Jones, and Andelyn Reimer and 8th grade students Ava Tacha, Abby Cunningham, and Anthony Mendoza. The competition begins at 9:10am. The awards assembly will be at approximately 1:00pm. Good luck to our MES/MJH Mathethletes!
MES will celebrate their March BUFFS of the Month and classrooms recognitions on Friday, April 10th at 2:25pm. Our Buffs are BOLD, UNDERSTANDING, FOCUSED, FRIENDLY, AND STUDIOUS.
In addition to Dr. Seuss Day and Math Contest, our MJH and MHS student-athletes will be busy competing in tennis and track. Good luck to our Buffalo teams!
Looking Ahead: USD 226 will have a 1:00pm dismissal on Wednesday, April 15th. Our Junior/Senior Prom will be Saturday, April 18th. KEMFA State Powerlifting is also Saturday, April 18th.
