Field trip season is upon us! We have a trip scheduled for every day this week. Teachers will be communicating with our students and parents regarding these fun excursions.
Monday you can catch our JV tennis team at their home meet. Come out and enjoy some great tennis and support our student-athletes. Play begins at 3:00pm.
Our 4th through 6th graders are putting on a western show on Tuesday, April 28th at 7:00pm in the MES Auditorium. Both 5th and 6th grade bands will perform as well. The 4-6 show is called, "There's No Place Like Home." It's a twist on the Wizard of Oz story. In this instance, two students get taken back to when Meade was first founded. It's a show with history, beloved songs, and full of heart. Come see the show and enjoy our students' musical talents!
Family, friends, and community members are invited to tour our 3rd Grade Wax Museum. The museum will be open Wednesday, April 29th from 9:00-10:00am and again from 1:30-2:30pm. Our third grade students have prepared wonderful presentations portraying multiple people who have had a positive impact on our country's history. This is a come-and-go one day event. You will not want to miss it. We hope to see you there!
Good luck to our MJH Choir students! They will perform at the SPIAA Choir Festival in Minneola on Wednesday. We have almost 20 entries that include our full choir, girls' choir, boys' ensemble, sextets, a whole host of solos. It is great to have so many of our students showcasing their musical talent!
Our seniors will be honored Wednesday by being guests at special luncheons to recognize their accomplishment of high school graduation. The Meade United Methodist ladies will host their annual Senior and Mother luncheon at the Methodist church. The Meade Kiwanis will host our senior boys with lunch at the Meade Chuckwagon. We appreciate their kindness and generosity.
