USD 226 Summer Information
Cross Country
For those interested in participating in Cross Country in the Fall of 2026, please join the Band App through the QR below. Once you join please send Coach Daugherty a message through the app with your email address so he can get you the summer mileage plan.
Team Camp: on June 15th-19th.
More information will come out about that in the email. We will plan to do it at 7:00am each day and meet at the high school.
Remember Champions are made in the summer by putting in the monotonous work on your own when nobody is looking!
Meade Lady Buffs Summer Basketball
Team Camp at the High School 9am-11am June 8th-10th (FREE)
Kiowa County Summer League
Every Thursday of June (except the first week). 2 Games Each Night.
June 11th, 18th, 25th
$250 a team for the whole month. $25 a person if we get 10 players
We will ride together over for each game, and then you can ride home with parents if you want
Kiowa County Summer Tournament
Friday June 12th and Saturday June 13th.
6 games guaranteed, but could be 7. $275 a team. $27.50 a person if we get 10 players
We will have plans to do Basketball Skill development days and Open Gyms on Wednesday Evenings of June 17th and 24th and July 15th starting at 7pm.
The KSHSAA Summer Moratorium is June 29th-July 5th. Nobody is allowed to use the gym and coaches can work with anyone during this time.
Meade Recreation Summer Activities 2026
Tennis Camp
Date: May 20, 22, 27, & 29 (2 Wednesdays and 2 Fridays):
Current 1st – 2nd Graders at 9:00 am – 9:45 am Location: Meade Tennis Courts
Current 3rd – 4th Graders at 10:00 am – 10:45 am Cost: Free
Current 5th – 6th Graders at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Come learn the game of tennis with Coach Lynn. Bring a racket if you have one, water bottle, and wear tennis shoes.
Pickleball Camp
Dates: June 1 - 4 (Monday - Thursday)
Current 1st – 2nd Graders at 9:00 am – 9:45 am Location: Meade Park Pickleball Courts
Current 3rd – 4th Graders at 10:00 am – 10:45 am Cost: Free
Current 5th – 6th Graders at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Ages 18+ at 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Come learn the game of pickleball with Kyllin Rudzik. Bring a paddle if you have one and a water bottle.
Special Event: All groups will play at the same time on Thursday at 7:00pm! Bring your family and friends to join in on the fun.
Swim Lessons
Dates: June 8 - 12 (Monday - Friday) Location: Meade City Pool
Ages: 3 years of age and older Cost: Free

Depending on the number of sign ups, we might have to shuffle swimmers around class times. Children will need to arrive 5 minutes prior to class time. An instructor will NOT be outside the gate until this time. Please do not interact with the children during class time. Children need to come prepared to swim each day. You need to provide your own towel. Please remember that no gum, food, or candy is allowed in the pool area. This will not be a Red Cross swimming certification class.
Lesson Times: 10:00-10:30; 10:30-11:00; 11:00-11:30; and 11:30-12:00.
Coach Kinnamon's Basketball Camp
Dates: June 15-18
Cost: $40.00 (include a camp t-shirt)
Session 1: Grades PK-2 (short baskets) @ MES/MJH 9:00-9:45am
Session 2: Grades 3-5 @ MHS 10:15-11:15am
Session 3: Grades 6-8 @ MHS 11:30am-12:30pm
Register before June 1st to receive a t-shirt.

Volleyball Camp

Kickball
Date: July 20 (Monday) Location: Fairgrounds Baseball Field
Time: Evening - exact time dependent on number of teams. Cost: Free

Gather your friends, neighbors, siblings and come play kickball. Teams are made up of 8-12 players. 2 age divisions (8-12 and 13-17. If you do not have a team, we can make one for you! Just Register. Each team must have 2 girls minimum. Games are 45 minutes or 7 innings (7 run limit per inning per team). Brackets will be determined Saturday (July 18th) and communicated to the team coach. Football Camp

Times: 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm: Incoming 1st -2nd Grade Cost: Free
6:30 pm – 7:15 pm: Incoming 3rd – 4th Grade
7:15 pm – 8:00 pm: Incoming 5th – 6th Grade
Weather Permitting - Join the 2026 Meade High School Football Team as we go through several skills needed to be successful on the football field. Bring your own water bottle.
