MJH XY intercept activity

Congratulations to our MHS Cross Country and Volleyball teams! Our Buffalo Cross Country team finished their season earning the title of State Champion Runners-Up! Way to work, Buffaloes! Logan Keith finished the State race in second place with a time of 17:01.76. Our Lady Buff senior, Madison Sutterfield earned the fifth place medal with a time of 20:20.52 while sophomore Maya Doney finished at 21:26.28 giving her the 17th place medal. Our Lady Buffs Volleyball team's run at the State tournament didn't last as long as we had hoped, but we are sure proud of our girls and the great season they shared with us. Congratulations to all our MHS athletes!

Our MHS Football team showed up to play last week. They defeated Ness City by a score of 65-8. The win lets our team move on to the Regional round. The match-up between Meade and Quinter will take place Friday, November 4th at 6:00pm in Meade. Good luck, Buffaloes!

Please join us as our Preschool through 3rd grade students parade to the Lone Tree Retirement Center in their Halloween costumes. Friends and family are invited to line Grant Street from MES/MJH to the LTRC. The fun will begin at 2:00pm.

Daylight Savings Time begins early Sunday morning. Please remember to set your clocks back one hour.

MJH is so excited to offer a new opportunity for our students through the CLASS leadership training. Our 7th and 8th grade students will be collaborating with other school districts to discuss things such as what it means to be leaders, qualities they already possess, others they can develop, and projects that can be facilitated back in each schools' respective district. The collaboration will take place three times during the school year and the projects between will be student-initiated and led.

LOOKING AHEAD: There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, November 7th. Our teachers will be attending a SPIAA In-service. The KSHSAA Buffer Week is scheduled for Monday, November 7th, through Sunday, November 13th. High school basketball practice begins Monday, November 14th. Thanksgiving Break begins Wednesday, November 23rd; school will resume Monday, November 28th. Senior Yearbook pictures are due on Wednesday, November 30th. Please contact Mrs. Bigler for more information.
