FIELD DAY UPDATE:
Due to weather these past few days, we will move Field Day to the Grade School on Wednesday May 17th. Everything is still the same as the past where parents are welcome to attend. We look forward to a fun and exciting day as the kids celebrate the end of the school year!

It was another record-breaking meet for our MHS Track athletes! Grayden Stapleton broke his own school record in the 300H. Our relay team of Grayden, Logan Keith, Anthony Godfrey, and Brock Keith set the new school and league meet record for the 4x400.
Nice work, Buffaloes!



THREE-PEAT League Champions!
Congratulations to our boys track team! They captured the league championship for the third year in a row! Our girls team had a great night finishing in 3rd place!

STATE TENNIS SEND-OFF!
Thursday, May 11th
YOU'RE INVITED! Please join us for the MHS Tennis send-off! Our State-Bound players will leave the high school at approximately 12:15pm and head west to Highway 23. They will then make their way to MES/MJH. MHS Fans can honk, wave, and cheer from the stoplight intersection or join our MES/MJH students in front of the grade school. Good luck, MHS! WIN State!


Free Summer Breakfasts and Lunch
USD 226 is happy to announce that this summer, free breakfast and lunches will be available for anyone ages 1 - 18. Both meals will be served at the grade school cafeteria. Summer meals are available to everyone, regardless of income. Adults may purchase a meal for $5. Meals will begin May 22 and end June 30th and be available each week-day, Monday - Friday, except Memorial Day. No carry out meals will be provided. For more information contact USD 226.

Congratulations to MHS Forensics with their One Act Play! Our talented performers earned a I at State Festival! Way to work!





Grayden Stapleton broke the 300H record this last Friday at Lakin running a 39.81. This broke the record that was previously held by Ryan Reimer and Nick Borth at 39.9.

MES/MJH Athletic Physicals are Tuesday, May 9th beginning at 9:00am. This is for students in the 2nd through 5th grade intending to play rec. football. It also includes 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students intending participate in junior high and high school sports, including cheer, next school year. AVHS will be conducting the physicals. The cost is $25.00. The physical forms have been sent home. They are also available on the KSHSAA website - https://www.kshsaa.org/Public/PDF/FORM-PPE.pdf. Parents/Guardians need to sign the form in all three indicated places and have the payment ready prior to the physical. Please contact AVHS or Mrs. Lynn, MJH Athletic Director, if you have any questions.

Three our MHS tennis players are State bound! Vincent Lynn took 5th place at Regionals. Orvin Dyck and Samuel Lynn earned 4th place! Congratulations and good luck at State!

The top six in doubles and singles will advance to the State Tournament next weekend in Wichita. Congratulations to Chandler Hanks (singles) and Kody Henson and K.J. Leterle on a great season!
