Results for MHS Varsity Golf at Kinsley 05.12.22
The Buffaloes placed 2nd overall. Individual medalist were Ian Unruh with a 5th place finish, and Trace Hegwood with a 9th place finish. Also competing for the Buffaloes were Brayden Norris, Harrison Bachman , Jaryn Knott, and Kaya Hartnett.

STATE TENNIS SEND-OFF! Please join us in a community send-off for our State-Bound tennis players. The team will leave MHS at 12:15pm tomorrow, Thursday, May 12th. They will go from the high school to Highway 23 where they will turn north and cross Highway 54 at the stoplight. They will then proceed to MES/MJH. From there our Buffaloes will head to Prairie Village.

We will be hosting a Retirement Reception for Pat Sims, 35 years of service; Pat Gleason, 32 years of service; Shannon (McFall) Molitor, 28 years of service, and Rob Lauppe, 27 years of service. We are grateful for their dedication and commitment to USD 226. The public is invited to attend the come-and-go reception on Friday, May 20th from 1:00-3:00pm in the MHS Commons. A special presentation will take place at 1:30pm.

Congratulations to our MJH girls relay team of Aby Dyck, Kenadie Alexander, Sayler Stapleton, and Kate Cunningham! They broke the school 4X400m record with a time of 4:53.00. The previous record set by Reimer, Olvera, Schneider, and Clawson with a time of 4:56.34. Way to work, Lady Buffs!

Our MHS Football Team will have their 2021 State Champion Football Banquet on Tuesday, May 17th beginning at 6:00pm in the MHS gym. They will be serving pulled pork sandwiches. Families are asked to bring a side dish to share. The evening will include a recap of the season, individual awards, and a highlight video.

CONGRATULATIONS to our MHS State-bound tennis players! Korben Clawson and Nico Rodrigo-Coffe are the REGIONAL CHAMPIONS in doubles! Vincent Lynn took 5th at Regionals to make his way to State. Our doubles team of Konner Jones and Zach Hawley along with our singles player, Orvin Dyck, also competed in the Regional meet, but unfortunately they did not advance to State. The Meade Varsity Golf team took second place at South Gray on Tuesday, May 3. Ian Unruh placed 4th with his lowest score so far this year. Trace Hegwood placed 10th. Brayden Norris Placed 12th and Harrison Bachman Placed 13th. The Buffaloes are coming on strong! The team will continue their season this Friday with a meet at Stanton County and the League Golf meet will be this coming Monday in Dodge City.
