State Football Updates:
*MHS is the visiting team. We will be on the south sideline.
*The gates open at 9:00am.
*There will be a 15 minute half time and no half time performance.
*The football field is located in Athletic Park on First and Grandview in Newton.
*You can visit www.newtonrec.org and www.tonewton.com for maps to Newton and Fischer Field.
*Ticket Prices: K-12 > $6.00; Adults > $9.00. Please remember you can purchase ticket in advance from the KSHSAA website.
*The announcement of the two teams will take place at 10:15am. Meade will be introduced first.
*Our MHS Band will play the National Anthem at 10:53am.
*The coin toss is scheduled for 10:57am.
*The kick-off is set for 11:00am.

Since Beam Center meals had to stop for a while, MHS invited local senior citizens to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

Fan bus to State FB in Newton 11.27.21: Home Lumber has generously donated funds to take care of expenses for a fan bus to Newton this Saturday. We have 28 seats open on the yellow activity bus. There will be no cost to ride but you are responsible for your game ticket. Federal regulations are that masks are to be worn at all times on school transportation. Please call the HS office 873.2981 from 8am-3:30pm on 11.23.21 to reserve your seat. Children Junior High age and younger must have a parent/guardian on the bus. Bus will depart from MHS parking lot at 6:30.
Attention: Please join us in a community send-off for our Sate Bound Football team. We will leave MHS at 9am Friday morning (11.26.21) Route will go west of HS to highway 23, North to 54, and will proceed East out of town. Go Buffs!
State Football News:
*NFHS will live-stream our State Championship game. You will need a paid subscription to watch. Also, as mentioned before, there is a link on the KSHSAA Football page that indicates you can watch the game live.
*If you plan to attend the game KSHSAA recommends purchasing your tickets online through the KSHSAA website. They also encourage fans to have their tickets pulled up on their device and ready to scan prior to reaching the gate. Gates to open at 9:00am.
*State Championship game shirts will be available to purchase at the game. Please see the attached image for styles and prices.

COVID Numbers Still Look Good for the School
GATES for Football Game Friday - Nov. 19 - The NORTH gate will NOT be open for Friday's Game, so fans will need to drive in the far south gate or come to the gate by the stadium. Prices for this playoff game are set by KSHSAA, so passes will not allowed.
